A British couple recently claimed to have encountered a “demonic” figure while walking their dogs in Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. In a Facebook post, husband and wife Hannah and Dave Rowett shared a video of a terrifying-looking figure crossing in the darkness right in front of them.
Since the post was uploaded, it has caused a serious stir on social media. It has garnered nearly 2,000 comments and over 2,800 shares. While some netizens explained the sighting by insisting that the “figure” came from a cigarette or vaporizer, others suggested that the figure resembled a “dog or fox spirit.”
“That gave me chills when I saw that. You’re lucky to see that!!!” one user wrote. “That’s creepy,” said another. A third user commented: “Smoke, breath etc, it’s not paranormal,” while a fourth added: “It’s smoke smoke and it was recorded in reverse in slow motion. Mr Rowett, who is a paranormal sceptic, admitted his “hair stood on end” when he saw the footage. “At first I thought it was a dog, but the way I look at it, it’s more of a human-type form. Dave kept getting one of the dogs out of the car and I just felt like I wasn’t alone. I took a photo and as I did it went through the camera. It’s quite demonic how it crawls and has long limbs. It never changes its form. If it was smoke, it would change. I followed it with the flashlight, followed it back, then turned to Dave and said, ‘I’ve just seen a ghost and I’ve got it on camera’. I felt no fear. When I feel things, I always pull out my camera because you can’t always see things with the naked eye. That’s why I caught it,” Hannah told the Daily Mail.

Mr Rowett, who is a paranormal sceptic, admitted his hair ‘stood up on end’ when he saw the footage. After watching the footage, he was convinced that ghosts do exist.Mr Dave, who described himself as a ghost skeptic, also said the encounter had made him a believer. “I was glad to see something because I always said I would have to do it before I would believe something like that. This makes me believe that something exists,” he said, according to the newspaper.
